INFUSING CREATIVITYWhat is creativity? How can we become more creative thinkers and teachers? How can we inspire and help our students become more creative thinkers. Technology Game ChangersWith technology now being apart of our teacher evaluations lets use this as a game changer in the classroom. Let's streamline our ideas and uses of technology. In this presentation you will see how I use technology to not only streamline my lesson planing and other teacher business but also how I use it to change how I grade students, projects that I give and other creative uses for tech in the classroom.
Formative Assessment & FeedbackFormative Assessment and Feedback have been shown to be ways to improve student improvement in your classroom. In the Art PLC we broke down what Formative Assessment and Feedback look in our classroom and how we could improve this. In this presentation my colleague and myself discuss how our art finding can improve the core classroom as well.
CUPCAKES AND PERSONAL NARRATIVES |
When we incorporate the arts into instruction it leads to increased student engagement and deeper learning, but we often do not know how to do it. This lesson has a focus on narrative writing with the incorporation of photography and drawing. This lesson is great for all levels and is easily adapted for all classroom levels and classrooms. You do NOT have to be an artist to bring art and creativity into your classroom.

Are my Projects. . . PBL?As art teachers we a prone to teaching projects, so when we hear about project based learning we sometimes assume that we are already doing that. I did. After some research, classes, and conferences I have realized that I am not a the amazing PBL teacher that I thought I was and that really I was just teaching... PROJECTS. In this seminar, I discuss how to make the art room a more PBL environment, instead of just a project environment.
Creative Note TakingHave you noticed that many of your students fade away during your lectures? Have you always kind of found your handouts a bit boring looking. In this session we will discuss the new trend of sketchnoting or creative notetaking.
